John North Hopkins

John Hopkins is an art historian and archaeologist, whose work focuses on physical/visual/spatial experience and the diachronic investigation of cultural and societal shift in the ancient Mediterranean.  In recent work he has begun to investigate cultural heritage, archaeological stewardship and the presentation of museological and archaeological information in a widely available and interactive online forum.  He has also collaborated with digital reconstruction teams to create and promote virtual reconstruction of ancient Rome, and has contributed to conferences, workshops and publications in Europe and the US on the use of digital technology for the visualization and dissemination of scholarly information.
