Ani Simmons, the Education Programs Coordinator at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, joined The Museum in January 2012. She delivers, creates, schedules and administers The Museum’s programs for schools and teachers. Ani began her career in museum education after spending 15 years as a teacher of English, History and Humanities at the middle and high school levels in public and charter schools. In addition to teaching in the USA, she also taught ESL in Rome, Italy. She worked in other museums in a variety of capacities: Membership Supervisor, Education Consultant and Volunteer Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English & Education from Olivet Nazarene University and a Masters of Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University.
